Pakistan is a country which is rich of minerals. However Sindh and Balochistan are the two of the provinces of Pakistan. As the last days, we had a news of storm heading towards Sindh and Balochistan coastal areas but didn't touch the coastal areas And the same thing happened last year, we had heard about 'PET' storm heading towards the coastal areas of Pakistan but nothing happened to Pakistan. The reason which Pakistani people especially people in karachi says that this is because of the 'Abdullah Shah Ghazi Mazar' (tomb of Abdullah Shah Ghazi) standing in front of Seaview in karachi but thats the people religious belief. According to my observation and thinking the reason behind storm not touching coastal areas of Pakistan is the large number of 'Mangroves' present in the coastal areas of Pakistan. As the most of the people in Pakistan don't know about 'Mangroves'. Mangroves are the plants which are found in the coastal areas. Mangrove forests in the Indus and the Hub Delta of Pakistan are the 5th largest Mangrove ecosystem in the world as Pakistan has a large arid and semi-arid climate.    Mangroves contribute to the economy of a country. Fishing industry is an important industry of Pakistan. Pakistan exports shrimps, prawns and fish to other countries. The mangroves provide a breeding ground to these species. In this way mangroves provide employment to the people as most of the locals in that area are associated with fishing in one way or the other. The mangroves also provide fuel wood, fodder for cattle and grazing grounds for camels. Chemicals are obtained from mangroves.The mangroves along the coast line of Pakistan are a sanctuary to migratory birds as well. In simple words Mangroves forest are the sea forest that protects your shore line from Tsaunami. But unfortunately due to the development work Mangroves forest were cut down by builders so I think we need to save Mangroves if we want to save ourself.
